Held in the contemporary showrooms of Linear London in Balham, a new venue for us, Simona will be demonstrating the art of pasta making.  You will learn to roll pasta, and make a wonderful store cupboard sauce, make and fill ravioli.  Prepare a fantastic spring risotto with seasonal fresh asparagus, and for pudding you will learn how to prepare the classic Italian pick me up, Tiramisu.  Throughout the session you will enjoy all the dishes you make.  All this with a glass of wine to refresh you.

Calbourne Road Workshops: Friday 8th or Saturday 9th May 2015

Returning from Italy with a spring in my step, I am delighted to present a few more pop-up workshops in early May with Simona Fabrizio.

On 8th and 9th May,  Simona will present dishes that bring you the taste of southern Italian sunshine.  Looking to Calabria for a spicy sausage which is all the rage, nduja will make a surprisingly wonderful quick pasta sauce.  Teamed with a Sicilian pesto made with pistachios, almonds and sun-dried tomatoes, these quick and exciting sauces will set you up for the summer.

Master deep fried courgette flowers, with Simona’s Roman style, light as air crispy batter, certainly a dish that impresses.

Caponata, an authentic and treasured recipe from Simona’s family which goes so well with everything in the summer,  serve just with salad for a light meal or along side roasted meats for a feast.

Lemons too are an essential summer flavour,  and we will be making a Lemon Caprese, a luxury gluten free cake made with almonds.
